The new composite stick, developed by Montreal Sports Oy with the use of nanotechnology, is 60 - 70% better impact resistant than the traditional composite stick. This amazing difference in durability is possible because Montreal Hybtonite Nano Epoxy is not a blend of nanoparticles and Epoxy but a reacted Hybrid carbon nanotube epoxy matrix.

Montreal also revamps the style of the Nitro stock. In the new series there are four degrees of stiffness, coded in 4 Nitro Colors. Red for x-stiff, orange for stiff, lime for regular and yellow for soft. The stick types are Nitro Lite, Nitro Force and Nitro Max.
